Online project meeting
Online project meeting: 22nd December 2023: all partners met online to meet for the first time. The coordinator presented the project and the partners.
Kick off meeting in Istanbul
Kick off meeting in Istanbul, Türkiye 13th and 14th February 2024: All partners met in Istanbul under the organisation of the coordinating partner IFSS to discuss the project results, the project aim and objectives and partner tasks and responsibilities. Moreover, all the partners presented their organisations and motivation to participate in the project FOSTERCARE. One representative from the Turkish National Agency was present offering valuable advice to the partnership and answering questions.
Dissemination activities
February 24: Dissemination activities by partners are ongoing. Already partners have started disseminating the project FOSTERCARE nationally.
Our survey is underway!
Meeting in Athens, Greece Dec 24
All partners met in Athens, Greece in December to discuss the project progress and the results that are underway. WP2 has been concluded, leading the way for the subsequent WPs and their results.
Training event in Istanbul, Turkey
More than 25 trainers, foster care professionals and project partners, participated in the training event that took place in May 2025 in Istanbul. Interactive workshops, presentations by experts, case study discussions and much more, were organised on the topic of foster care and the project developed results.

3rd and final project meeting in Madrid, Spain
All partners met in Madrid, Spain in October 2025 to discuss the project progress and the results that are underway, especially the piloting and the testing of all developed materials to collect valuable input. The focus of the discussions was on sustainability and dissemination of key results following the project end in November 2025.
End of project
By the end of November 2025, we are reaching the end of our funded project. This does not mean that we are finished! On the contrary, our discussion forum is live and active and expecting your questions. Our training platform and resource page will be maintained following project end and updated with new resources. The partners will be available to help you and support you in your work as best as we can, and more importantly, we are available to present our project and its results in any event or training you wish to organise.
